Finding Faith
In the second novel of the Simpler Times series, Rose and Flynn are adjusting to a new life and, with much hard work, have opened the inn from Rose’s dreams. The lovely small Minnesota town of Crosby, where they now make their home, reminds Rose of Cherish and things feel right, almost perfect.
A newfound friend, Maggie, owns and runs The Maple Leaf, a small shop on Main Street. She and Rose become quick friends and bond over life with Army husbands.
Maggie, having lost her husband Samuel, during his last deployment to Afghanistan, finds it hard to imagine ever being happy again, or even considering a relationship with a man other than Samuel.
Over time a kind neighbor starts to seem like maybe more than a friend to Maggie, and she struggles with her dedication to the memory of her late husband.
With Rose and Flynn’s help, she finds it in herself to open up her heart again. But just as Maggie starts healing and she envisions hope for the future, something from Samuel’s past is exposed and she finds her life will never be the same.

Tangles
After a family visit to a west coast aquarium, Sofia, a young girl, and Abby, her talking rabbit, decide to rescue an unhappy octopus from its aquarium home. Their backyard adventure begins when Sofia’s sister, Zo, organizes their stuffed toys for the mission. Sofia’s toy octopus, Tangles, joins the fun while Zo’s new toy starfish, Astra, her twin teddy bears, and trusty toy rat, Ratena, are enlisted to the team.
Trouble starts when they arrive at the make-believe aquarium located on their gazebo. The aquarium director, a doll named Dr. La Mer, challenges the team to consider whether or not the octopus is really unhappy. An inside game of hide-and-seek leads them to a surprise answer and a wild ride to the ocean.
Don’t miss the touching homecoming for both Abby and Tangles.
